Students must complete their program and obtain their credential within 6 years from the date their initial GSTG payments are mailed to their institution; and commit to work at either a priority school or a California preschool program for 4 years within 8 years of completing their program. The California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) will award one-time Golden State Teacher Grant funds of up to $20,000 to eligible students across California who are currently enrolled in a professional preparation program approved by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) within a California institution of higher education on or after January 1, 2020. Applicants must agree to all terms and conditions of the GSTG program or be required to repay the grant per CSAC policy. To apply and for more information, please visit CSAC's site here: https://gstg.csac.ca.gov/.
